Property

Dear sir,

My dad sold his property in 1997 to one of the person who is staying in same village.Now after 12Yrs my Dad's sisters are planning to file a case against my dad as they also have equal share in property.My grandfather gave my dad nealy 30 yrs back to my dad.are these people eligible to file a case aganist my dad in court for property.

 

Please let me know your suggestions to solve this problem

Rupesh,  Was that property an ancestral property of your grandfather? If so, your father should have taken prmission from his sisters before selling the same. Daughters have equal share in the ancestral proerty. If the property was self earned, then your grandfather is free to give to anybody he wishes and others will not have any right over that property.
