Property rights for daughter

Dear lawyers,

Appreciate all your efforts in providing this service to the public.

I have a question on my rights to inheritence;

I am a girl from Tamil Nadu and am a catholic. I was married in 2007. I have three brothers and my parents are still alive.

The property in question here is a land acquired by grandfather and passed onto my father via will. My dad is now planning to sell the property and distribute the money among my brothers. He has already done this in the past i.e sold the properties from grand father and bought new ones which would amount to properties acquired by him so that he can give it only to my brothers.

In this scenario, can you please advise on my rights here? I feel cheated and devoid of justice.

Thanks

Its true that your father is favoring your brothers but legally you have no right in the properties during the lifetime of your father and he has every right to dispose it off as per his will and wish.

Thank you Ms. Archana for the response.

I was actually hoping that I would be able to stay the sale of the propery acquired by my grandfather. Looks like it is not to be so.
