property tax

dear sir/madam,

we have bought a flat from a builder. and we have made all the payments demanded by him before the possession. our electricity bill comes in our name but the property tax bill still came in the name of the builder and the bill is from the date of booking because early to it builder has paid. but now since the bill comes to our address but bears the name of the builder. when we told him he is saying that we have to get it done from the municipilty but we have paid all the money so we feel it should be done by him on his cost as he has not told us about this before the sale process. please guide us on this.

thanks sir for ur guidance but i want to know that if we have paid all the money the builder has asked us and did all the paper work so is it not the builders job that this property tax paper work need to be done by him. how is it justified that after paying so much money still we have to municipality office. why did he not inform us. we received a notice for the nonpayment of property tax bill which we never received . CAN WE SUE THE BUILDER FOR THIS?
