Purchase of agriculture land documents required from 1951

I am a farmer and want to purchase another Agriculture Land. Adovocate says you have to produce records pertaining from 1951 proves that you/your parents/grand parents were farmers. What exactly the Law and what documentary proofs are required.

Inwhich states r u residing. Every state have different law about agricultureif u are farmer prove it with revenue records from last 25 yrs.as my knowledge.u buy if any complications arises question in civil court prove u r farmer not violated law.

Even non agriculturist can purchase ag land as per state rules who does not exceed the annual income limit.as per govt orders.
