We wish to purchase a builder built commercial property (a flat in a commercial complex) in the name of HUF in Delhi. One of my friends informed me that if I buy property in HUF, the resale value will decrease by 10-20% because no buyers are interested in buying a property held in the name of HUF because of the formalities relating to obtaining NOC from members / co-parceners and no clear indication or list of members / co-parceners of the HUF. Please suggest if this is true. Should one not buy property in the name of HUF?
