my grandfather had purchased a shop in mumbai on goodwill in 1954. the landlord was not ready to transfer the property in my grandfathers name so it is still in the name of the previous owner till now. the landlord has been accepting the rent from me at an interval of 3 years. now i want to get the shop transferred in my name. so can someone please help me out about how to go ahead with the procedure of transfer?. I would also like to know what action can the landlord take against me if i dont get it transferred since he has stopped accepting rent from me. i would also like to know that what act can i use so that the law is in favour of me.
