Question on dv.

Heard in forums here that DV is stipulated to be over in 60 or 90 days? Can someone confirm this and whether it is given in the act itself or somewhere else?

My DV has been languishing for over one year, and the interim orders have continually postponed by the judge for over six months now. Sometimes the file is missing, or the judge had not found the time to read the file. Or other such nonsense.

Any suggestions as to course of action for me to put pressure on judiciary for expediting things.

Thanks..

Read in the same line.

Case should be decided within 60 days "as far as practisable". Not practisable for the huge number of cases in courts.

Judges in backyard have devised a new formula-- They give interim judgment in 60 days & then linger on the case till infinity.

Thanks @ shonee and rajeev. In my case even the interim judgment is lingering on. Its been over one year since the DV was filed. The arguments on interim are over six months back. Since then the judge either misplaces the file or says she has not found the time to read the file and hence is unable to decide. Pathetic state of affairs.. Any suggestions?? Thanks.... :-)

1. What does ld. Magistrates daily Orders state? Are you aware / reproduce verbatim daily order sheet (removing court name / case no. / party names etc.)  here to get remedy.

It just says "orders fixed for next date". Has been the same last 4 times. @ tajobs
