question on rented properties

hi

i have a question on rented properties. the landlord is out of country and his accountant does all the deals. whether he has the power of attorney is not known.he also issues the rent receipts to the tenants. Tenants believe the accountant and pay the rent regularly. wht r the legal consequences for the tenants in case the accountant does not have the power of attorney?

Better enquire with your landlord whether he has given any authority to accountant to collect rents ?Whedther landlord has ever given you any instructions to pay rent to accountant?
