questioning of property rights

What are the consequences faced by a person selling a house whose ownership rights are being questioned in the court?Does a criminal case can be run on him?????

Yes, penal action is a definite possibility against the person and even possibly the buyer if he/she knew of the litigation and still went through with the deal.

Is there any restriction by the court? Pending is a different matter.

nopes.....there is no restrictions.....stay was there but now has been nullified....only the case to determine the ownership rights is underway in the court......

What does 'knowing' mean? He may know hundreds of things. So what? Is there any legal bar from selling? If not, he can't be prevented from disposing of the property.

you can sell only to the extent you owe. apart from that everything is null and void. can be sued in court of law both civil and criminal.
