Ration card name cancellation

hi members,

My name features in my brother's ration card . I want to cancel it from his ration card and put it in my parents' ration card . But my brother is not giving me his ration card to complete the cancellation foramalites. What do i do? i have tried contacting him many times. he does not pick up my calls nor doe he reply to my sms'es. I went to the local municipal office where i was told unless i produce the card, i can't get my name cancelled off of it. So can i send him some legal notice or complain to the police? i want to get it done in 1 week's time. plz help me members.

go to the rasancard dealor andget detailsno.of rasan card with name & alloted no.of said rasan dealor.

Furnished aapplication to district Supply officer for remove your name from hisrasan card also produce same copy to rasan dealor.

After furnished application- Demand proceeding documentsunder RTI Act.

District Supply Officer Remove your name from rasan card. After it you may do that you want.

thank you sir for such a prompt reply, i have a doubt. would the ration card dealer give me the card details without any questions ? also how many days would it take me to get the name canelled off ? approximate time.

Just write an application- produced before District supply officer, He will transfer your application to said rasan dealor within 5 days.

Rasan dealor or DSO will provide you name & others details register for inspection.

Collect details and follow instruction.

tnx sir for the info. may i have your phone number? i couldn't find it in ur profile . Also is it really possible to cancel my name without producing the ration card ? coz the ration card officials told me that it is not possible . i m really worried.

Also sir, i live in Mumbai and there is no post called as DISTRICT SUPPLY officer here. so what do i do in this case ?

Its all possible that I written here.

District Supply Officer MEANS "Jila Purti Adhikari" those issued the rasan cards.

Find there address from official website of Mumbai.

Sir , In mumbai, there is MUNICIPAL commissioner and each ration card office in each ward has an assistant commisioner. there is no district supply officer.
