Re: query regarding voting rights in co-op. hsg. soc. ltd.

One Mr. M owns a flat in Co-op. Hsg. Soc. Ltd wherein there are some disputed dues (maintenance charges etc.) payable to the society. Mr. M travels frequently within India and abroad and due to which it becomes impossible to attend general meeting or any other meetings and to vote in such meetings. The query is: 1 ] Whether a Co-operative Housing society can’t allow Mr. M to authorise his Son/Daughter/Wife to vote in General meeting 2 ] Whether a member with society disputed dues can vote? 3 ] Whether a member with society dues can vote? Request you to kindly provide your valuable inputs in the aforesaid matter. Regards, SAM
