Dear All
As per the new realty bill, builders can sell the property only on the basis of carpet area and not the super built up area.
In 2014 I have booked a flat in Bangalore and expecting the possession by 2016 June. Probably the registration would happen in June 2016.
By now I have paid 85% of amount.when I booked the flat it was based on the super built up area. the carpet area is only 70% of super built up area.
Can someone please help me understand if based on the new real estate bill applies to properties which are not registered and thereby I should only pay for carpet area and ask the builder to return the amount which I have paid for super built up area.
Please suggest on this and I am sure there will be many consumers who will benefit if it is in the favor of consumer.
