Recourse to intentional damage to property (car)

Dear Sirs',

Myself Bhaskar Mukherjee, parked my car infront of a closed shop at around 7pm yesterday evening in Behala, a kolkata locality, near Gabtola lane on the main road. It was not a no parking area. I came back in about 40 mins, and to my astonishment found the shop open and and my car doors damaged by some sharp object. It is an intentional damage of my property by the Shopkeeper (shops' called Mascot and is a Mobile phone and accesorries retailer).

Request you to please suggest if i have any recourse to my loss/damage to propoerty.

Best regards,

Bhaskar Mukherjee

dear querist ,

you can seek relief in torts and ask for claim of damages under tortious liability.
