Recovery of money after the judgement

Hi,

I wanted to know how to get the money from the defendant after the court has made a judgement that he has the pay the amount. The judgement was in my favor but the defendant has not respected the judgement and has paid only the partial amount of what he has to pay.

Also, once the judgement is made, is there any time limit for me to recover the money back.

Can I file for contempt of court order or are there other ways to do the same.

Thanking you,

Purnima
