Rectification deed

we have purchased flat from party and after that my brother made gift deed and registered the flat on my name .now it has come to know that the area written in channel agreement wrongly as 335 super built up instead of 335 carpet and accordingly in gift deed .my question is that how do i rectify the sale deed as well as gift deed ? what is the penalty and charges ? the flat situated in mumbai-thane
