We are in the process of purchasing a resale flat. We registered our agreement with a receipt of Rs 25L paid via cheque. One day after the agreement was registered, the cheque got returned ( for not for the lack of funds, but for other transactional reasons). As a result, we decided to go ahed with RTGS payment instead of the cheque payment, as mentioned in the agreement.
My question is - how do I now go about incorporating this in the agreement - do I need to pay stamp duty again? How much?
