Redevelopment of society

Our society has passed 2 years back in AGM to initiate redevelopment of our society buildings. We have been reminding them on the update since then but they are not reverting. Please advise

Again remind the society in AGM.

Then the members can give a request to call for general meeting to discuss about the pending issue as agenda and discuss in detail and pass a suitable resolution on the subject  matter on the basis of decision taken by majority members.

I understand your concern about the delayed redevelopment of your society buildings. Since the AGM resolution was passed 2 years ago, you can take the following steps: Step 1: Review the AGM Resolution - *Check the resolution*: Verify the specific details of the redevelopment plan, including the timeline, budget, and responsibilities assigned to the committee or developers. - *Identify the stakeholders*: Note the individuals or entities responsible for implementing the redevelopment plan. Step 2: Send a Formal Reminder - *Draft a letter*: Write a formal letter to the managing committee, secretary, or chairman of the society, reminding them of the AGM resolution and the need for an update on the redevelopment status. - *Specify the concerns*: Clearly mention the concerns of the members regarding the delay and the potential consequences of not proceeding with the redevelopment. Step 3: Escalate the Matter - *Call a Special General Meeting (SGM)*: If the managing committee fails to respond or provide a satisfactory update, consider calling an SGM to discuss the redevelopment issue. - *Invite experts*: Invite architects, developers, or other experts to provide guidance on the redevelopment process and potential solutions. Step 4: Explore Legal Options - *Consult a lawyer*: If the society is not responding or cooperating, consult a lawyer specializing in cooperative society laws to explore available legal options. - *File a complaint*: Consider filing a complaint with the Registrar of Cooperative Societies or other relevant authorities. Additional Tips - *Maintain records*: Keep a record of all correspondence, meetings, and decisions related to the redevelopment. - *Involve members*: Keep the society members informed about the progress and involve them in the decision-making process. By following these steps, you can escalate the matter and push for the redevelopment of your society buildings.

Them is the managing committee

Instead of reminding the committee orally about it, you may better follow the procedures to call for a special or emergency meeting of the association by giving a request in writing and retain the copy to use it as evidence before deputy registrar of cooperative society in case you may have to approach them if the committee is reluctant or turning a blind eye.

Is it really a legal dispute for consideration and obligation of experts ?
