Refund of court fees

Dear brothers,

We have filed a suit for specific performance and injunction before the Delhi High Court. After the initial hearing the matter has been sent to JR for completing the documents formalities. But there has been arrived at compromise between the parties. Now the plaintiff wants to drop the litigation and there paid Rs.23000/- as Court fees. Is there any possibility of receiving back the court fee paid? What is the procedure, if yes?

If the party enter into compromise the court fees must be refunded. File a petition in the court for refund of court fees. Even in Lok Adalat when a case is settled court fees are to be refunded.
