Regarding certificate of enrollment

Hello,

I am currently in US. and wanted to get Certificate of enrollment license. I passed my 3rd year of llb in India in aprl 2007.  Can I get it without my presence??

Also as I am not in US, I am not able to work as a lawyer in India. So, do I need to return it back within specific period?

I wanted to appear for Bar exam in US, for that purpose I need the Certificate. Can anyone explain me the procedure to get it done?

Thanks,

Pinky

Hi, inorder to get the enrollment certificate you have to contact the state bar council. However the certificate will be provided to the person who is enrolled , and it can't be provided without ur presence . With regards to the bar exam you have to make DD for rupees 1300 and submit the bar exam application, xerox copy of the enrollment certificate , bar counicl card.  For more information on bar exam check the bar coucil of india website or contact respective state bar council.

Hi,

As rightly said you have to appear for the BC Exam.

Best of Luck.
