Release deed with brother in a joint property

 

Dear Sir/Mam,

  My brother and me bought a flat in Bangalore 3 years back. The registration has been done with both brothers name. Now we have decided that , one of the brother will release his share in other's name. We have following questions.

1. Gift deed Or Release deed , which is better and less stamp duty in Karnataka?

2. I heard that, there is a nominal charges if release deed done among family members in Karnataka , is it true? what is the current duty (registration and stamp duty) for the release deed?

3. Has brothers wife has to give the signature as well in the release process? 

4. What would be approximate lawyer fees to expedite the release deed?

Release Deed is cheap and best comparing to gift deed. For other charges consult your local lawyer.
