Relinquishment of share

My friends father has a suit for partition going on for few properties in high court. it is at a cross examination stage.it has already been 9 years.. my friends father is the plaintiff as he has filed the suit and he has a wife, son(my friend) and his daughther at home. He(my friends father) wants that incase if his death during the suit the entire  share that he is bound to get should be given to his son and his wife( i.e. their daugther should relinquish their share in favour of his son and wife.)  what shoud they do?  should they get a relinquishment deed signed by the daughther now or there any other options???  they dont want to delay-- that their daugther should relinquish later on,  as time changes and so does the environmement.
