Respected experts,
My father bought a plot of land when I was a minor. Therefore my father included my uncle's name also in the land document (Patta). Since the both me and my uncle's names are there ( Joint).
My uncle lives in a different place and wants to remove his name from the land documents. (Patta).
Kindly advise the procedure of removing his name and expenditure involved in the process.

Obtain a Gift deed from him for his portion of the land. And he can relinquish/release his rights of his share in the property if you are a co-owner of the property.

the removal is done by the gift deed , relinquish deed and death certificate , only .
