I am not sure if I am posting this in the right forum. My mother runs an allopathic pharmacy. A couple of days back a drug
inspector asked for the drug licence and we discovered the licence was not renewed for the past 3 years. Someone else filled the application for the licence the first time and she was not aware it has to be renewed every 5 years. Immediately we have closed the store. There is no other problem like contraband or adulterated drugs involved. Is there any remedial action she can take? She was never sent any notification asking her to renew the licence and she was ignorant of the law. What is the penalty for this? If someone comes back asking for bribe, what should be done? Can she apply for a new store licence and start it again? Thank you.
