Rent as Maintenance to Wives

A Court directing the allowance for maintenance for say ₨10000/- and rent ₨3000/-. It means Maintenance does not include Rent, or will it ? Any citation on it ? Does the concept of maintenance include provision for food and clothing only or take into account the basic need of a roof over the head. If so then why 3000/- as separate?

If court has granted Rs.10,000 for maintanence and Rs.3000 towards the rent. This will be considered as total maintenance of Rs.13000/-.

Regards,

Vivek
