I wanted to know, is there any way to protect yourself whlie buying a pagdi system flat in Mumbai. My cousin says he has made a document with the landlord in his flat where by he has been given ownership rights by the landlord, towards his flat. However, does this protect your against the landlord charging higher rent in case the Rent control ACT is changed as per what the current government wishes to do? IS there anyway to protect agains this?
