Residential address and id cards

I retired in 2014 and received pension from U.P. state .Due to personal circumstances I had to live with my son at Canada and also taken citizenship here along with OCI of India . I no longer have a permanent address in India.as my temporary address valid till now will no longer be available as the owner of the property sold it.I seek guidance from experts on resolving address related issues and updating my address on important documents related to I.Ds and bank cards etc .Please advise on the necessary steps to address this problem.

You may have to create an address in India if you want to be in receipt of all communications from various authorities in India about anything concerned with your pension or any other Indian connection.

You may have a formal rental agreement with some confident house owner in India and follow change of address process accordingly.

The issue is procedural. As such, the concerned institutions alone are in a position to provide the requisite guidance/ assistance.

It is not a legal dispute / problem but procedural.

Yes.  It is not a legal issue.  If you have nearest relatives in India with their consent, you can give their address or do as suggested by the expert Sri T.Kaliselvan sir.

My heartfelt thanks to all respondents. In this context my further question is that is it possible that my address and phone number of my foreign passport is implemented in my documents and then my cards etc can easily be mailed and delivered on my current address.Regards at all.

When a service pensioner relocates to a foreign country, they must inform their pension disbursing authority in India about their new address and usually need to submit regular "life certificates" through the Indian embassy or consulate in their new country to continue receiving their pension paymentsthis process is typically referred to as becoming an "NRI pensioner" (Non-Resident Indian pensioner) and might require opening a Non-Resident Ordinary (NRO) bank account in India to receive their pension.

Immediately notify the pension disbursing office in India about their relocation to a foreign country, including their new address and contact details.

Be prepared to provide necessary documents like passport, visa, and address proof to the embassy/consulate when submitting life certificates.

Contact the pension disbursing authority to understand any specific procedures or requirements for receiving pension while living abroad, as regulations might vary depending on the pension scheme.

Difficulties may arise if there are issues with submitting life certificates regularly or if the pensioner faces challenges accessing banking facilities in India
