Right to information

The documents obtained under Right to information act are merely  in the form of xerox copies not certified by the concerned officer. Can they be produced as genuine legal documents in the court of law as evidence ? also if  the person working in the capacity of  mahiti adhikari after transfer from that post to elsewhwre uses his stamp of mahiti adhikari  of old office and certifies the xerox copies said above to show them as if they were issued during his period, and if his assistant  by giving in writing makes evident   before court the fact that his officer signed xerox copies after he was transfered, ,will these documents  be held illegal?

Signing any documnet on a back date is illegal. It will be better to approach the office with an application to certify the document given to you against your RTI applicatoin. Another option is to apply afresh the same document asking to be duly certified one.
