Right to information

I am member of housing society and asked the chairman & secretary to disclose electricity bills for common lighting and Elevator. The secretary denied asking the purpose for the same and denied to disclose putting forth the reason I my use it for commercial or for my business benefit . I being a member found this completely baseless xplaination but still have given application for same. How do I get to see the bills ? Which law in housing society will help me to get this?If still they don't disclose the bill what should be my next action ?

you can file a RTI APPLICATION BEFORE THE HOUSING SOCIETY FOR DISCLOSURE OF BILLS . WITH IN 30 DAYS THEY HAVE TO PROVIDE ALL INFORMATION SOUGHT BY YOU.

RTI applies only against State Bodies and not against cooperative society.

In the above context then we file RTI BEFORE THE CONTROLLING AUTHORITY of co-operative society directly and ask the information about the co-operative society .
