Rights against harassment

Dear Sirs,

I would like to put forth my serious concern.

i have experience of 7 years and this is my 3rd job which i joined in an MNC - early this year as senior manager. i took this MNC opportunity for first time to have experience of mnc working. but to my utter disappointment, the indian management (reporting authority of my business unit) is very abusive and humiliating others. the same is with few other ppl working hereon.

in fact, i am not given any working exposure as assured to me. to make it worse, i have got to know that i am the 5th replacement in this position since 2010 (in 4 years) and all 4 of them earlier have left feelign disappointed.

i have set of mails where they have communicated with me in very rough and improper way.

in fact, once i could not take it more when one of senior started talking in very improper way late evening after office hours, that i had to enter in an argument with him. because of which they have not given me confirmatio nand ahve extended my 6 months probation with further 3 months.

now they have already finalized one person senior to me who is joining in mid-november and since then they have been constantly mentally harassing me by finding out faults in my job.

even being senior manager (middle management) i am always asked to book for ther rental car travels / bring their air ticket printouts and once they even told me bring print outs below building premises and they went away without taking it - just saying that i had been late for it. i am feeling very humilated and frustrated.

my extended probation period gets over by end-nov and i very well know there at not going to confirm me and just waiting for new senior to join and he gets proper handover from me. also i know that there is no point in sticking to such rough workplace.

but i really want to make them realize the way they act and play with other ppl's career ( i had a stable job which i left for this opportunity and find myself in very uncertainity now). the local indian HR is equally bad.

I only have a feeling that global HR Policy and Brand Value of this MNC is very reputed and respected all over world.

I sincerely request to please guide me with any possible action / procedure I can take against such harassment i received from them (with available mail communications in my case) as it has hurt my self-respect very badly.

Would greatly appreciate your valuable kind advice.

Do you have any evidence and witness? Audio/Visual is the best in such cases.

Is the work floor under CCTV surveillance? Is the CCTV controlled by central office too? Can it be deleted by central office without the consent of Global HR?

Did your 4 predecessors ever lodge a complaint with Global MD, HR…………….

If yes you should conclude that by complaining you shall be wasting your time, energy, resources………………..

If NOT then you have the points to ponder whether you should do it or not?

The Global HR may take an action that may see the corrective measures being taken but you may also not be there………………………….!!! They may act swiftly or they may act slowly. They shall positively look at keeping the business and revenue……………..

If you have worked for enough periods in the industry and that too at middle management then you must know a few HR personnel. Have a word with them.

If an employee is abused he/she has the option of lodging complaint with authorities in the company and police too……………………Would you do it?

Did you object in writing/ Can you claim and succeed that your probation was extended with malafide intention of a vindictive and zealous boss?

You should have so that there was no adverse entry in your personnel file and blot on your career.

The extension in probation period is given on the ground that employee has been tested by employer and is not found to be fit to be absorbed in permanent employment and more time is granted to improve.

If another candidate is selected it means you are not found fit despite the extension.

Firm up your next employment as ap.

Can you on your own or thru someone show the actual picture to the new entrant and he may also meet the same fate.

If he declines to join he would be sensible and it should be a very loud slap on the face of bosses.

You should have declined to do it in writing.

Why you were doing all this in its first place?

You can report it to HR but would you be able to prove it?

If the conduct of Bosses is that bad one and all should open the eyes of Global HR in writing.

Indian Bosses and Indian HR seem to a well knit team and must have been passing the buck and removing employees down the line to keep their chairs safe.

Someone shall have to light the fire below the chair: either the affected employees or Global HR.

You have the option them now or after leaving the company and settling with next employer.

Choose wisely.
