Rights grandof grandchildren over granfather's property

Sir ,

My friend's son's grandfather died in 1982 and left his property without any will and his mother, his uncle and  his grandmother all have equal share in the property and the property is yet to be divided. Now my friend's son living separately and he has come to know all uncles including his mother going to divide their property. My being a grandson do I have right to ask for my share apart from others' share?

Hi,

Your friend is entitle to claim share from the ancestral property as a grand children from her mother's share (after the partiotion of the property the share alloted to his mother).

Regards,

Sudarsan
