Rights of huf manager

A huf comprises couple and a special minor kid. In case death of husband,

what will be future of huf?

Can wife continue the huf? If yes, what will be her capacity & rights?

Can she withdraw/ deposit in bank account?

Can she open/ close fresh/ old fixed deposit?

Can she redeem/ buy mutual fund units/ shares?

Can she buy/ sell immovable property of huf?

Wife can continue in HUF if she wants, if her husbands earnings are treated as self acquired, if he dies intestate then it is inherited by his mother, wife and childrens equally, it depends upon situation. Others have no right on self acquired property.

If the karta passes away, leaving behind only his wife and minor children, the wife can act as a manager of the HUF till the oldest child reaches the age of majority.

The Karta of a Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) can buy, sell, or dispose of HUF property without the consent of other members, including a wife:

The Karta can sell, mortgage, or alienate HUF property, even if a minor family member has an undivided interest in the property.
The Karta can act through an adult family member to manage HUF property.
The Karta's actions are presumed to be in the best interest of the family unless proven otherwise.
However, a coparcener may challenge the Karta's act if the alienation was not done for a legal necessity or for the betterment of the estate.

Woman can be karta ( Manager ) of HUF.Hindu law does not limit woman's right to be HUF karta and she can perform all the acts which a Male karta can do.
