Road accident

Hi,

My father who was 60 years old died in a road accident (who was riding his bike) by the truck which hit him from behind. The driver of the truck was drunk. My father wasn't wearing a helmet then.  I am not sure if this comes under criminal or civil law. My father was doing farming and was earning atleast Rs.10000 monthly. What is the compensation we can claim for his loss?

Thanks,

KS

File claim under Sec 166 of MV Act against the owner and Insurance Company of the ruck.

You have to be careful to prosecute the case as there is contributory negligence.

much compensation cannot b expected in this case.
