How do you determine who is a successor to a Roman Catholic person from mumbai? This is our problem - the lessor of my building passed away 25 years ago. We the lessees do not know who his legal heirs are .For 25 years we are paying all the dues which should have been paid by the lessor. Now someone is claiming to be the successor to the lessor. How can we determine if this person is genuine ? Also we hear that some of the lessors successors are dispersed in different countries. Can church records be obtained to show who the legal heirs are ? Now since such a long time has passed does the person making these claims have any validity ? Can this lease be transferred to anyone else ?
