Rules for the visit of president of india

Hi friends,


Please could you share the protocol rules to be following when the President of India undertakes a visit to capital of any of the Indian states.  Who should be there at the airport to receive him. Who all should be invited in the programme.


Is there any rules of Govt. of India framed for this purpose.

A sensible question....The answer is normally the Chief Minister of the concerned state needs to Receive the President...This is a procedural requirement which is being followed in Inda...

The protocol maintained by all the states in the Indian union is that the respective Chief Minister will receive the President of the country and in a very rare and unavoidable circumstance, the Governor may receive the President in the absence of the Chief Minister.
