Sarfaesi proceedings

I was enjoying the benefits of HSBC credit card.Since I had to be on the default list in paying back in time, the card was blocked. I have failed to comply with the bak's requests for settling the dues for the past 4 years. Now a huge sum of money has been noted in my account towards credit card debt including interest charges and other expenditurs. I has a series of fatal illnesses in the past and finance has come to a very low ebb making me unable to pay off the debt in time. Now it is learnt that the bank has sold my credit to one of the financial companies and they have issued a notice against me warning the initiation of SARFAESI proceedings against me. What exactly  should I do now to be on the clear side of things. As fopr me I would not wish to run away from the debt incurred. But settlement would take some more time . What steps should I resort to at the present state of affairs?

You have not stated the dues position... if it is less than Rs. 1 lakh, the Act can not be invoked.. Moreover, SARFEASI Act is enforsed against secured assests.. In debit/credit card, i suppose no security is furnished ... I feel sorry how bank has issued notice that too under SARFEASI Act ... You may write to Dept. of Banking, RBI in this regard
