SC's interference

The impeachments proceddings  is the  prerogative of the Parliament. It is a Constitutional impropriety on the part of Justice Dinakaran to seek the intervention of the Supreme Court on the alleged irregularity or the bias of the Rajya Sabha Panel . The proper course of action is to approach the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.

I don't think there's anything wrong in approaching the Supreme Court. Though impeachment proceedings are prerogative of the parliament, there is a need for Supreme Court's checks and balances for the constitutional validity of those proceedings.

If Supreme Court doesn't have anything to say in this, we may see a dangerous precedence of parliament impeaching any judge whom it may see as against the government/politicians.
