I have been falsely charged under Section 294 and 506(b) and chargesheet has been filed. I would like to seek the advice as how to proceed in the case. My understanding is I should file a petition for quashing/deleating the charges and once the case is resolved then go for comesation in terms of filing for defamation suit. kindly advice me.

If grounds for quash is not made out, fight the trial.
First get acquitted, then think of any counter-action.
