Dear Sir, I recently purchased a flat. After I received the copy of sale deed, the seller is asking the copy of the same through the broker. Is it safe giving them the copy of it or should I give them a crossed copy of the same?

The seller is in the need of that sale deed copy, as he has to accountable for the said consideration amount, in case of filing IT returns. No harm to you, if you give a copy of the sale deed.

Mr. Baala is right, the vendor may need the copy for Income tax purpose, if you are so much cautious enough, you can provide him with an unattested photo copy of the deed.
