Hello, everybody.
some of our collegues are contesting a case of seniority with some adhoc employees. They have won the case from CAT and HC. Now the OPs have filed an SLP in Supreme Court against the order of HC and are following delayed tactics. The SLP is at admission stage. The SC in its interim order has directed to maintain the status quo between the inter-se seniority of regular and ad-hoc employees. This status quo is affecting various other employees as their promotions are held up. The said SLP is in registrar office for nearly 6 months and it is expected that as and when the matter is taken up in the court it will be decided soon. but the OP [Ad-hoc employees] are delaying the process. I want to ask whether there is any statutory time limit under which this case has to be decided or not. Alternatively, how long the matter could be kept pending/delayed in registrar office. Please suggest.
