Do you mean you wish to get the share certificates first time as the society is new and you have purchased from the builder directly ? Or you bought the property in resale?

In the first case you would have to become a member of the society and the society will take appropriate charges from you. For this they may also require a copy of the conveyance/regd. letter of alotment, etc.

In case buying from the earlier owner, you would have to provide the NoC from the Society also. In case the society has not given the NoC to the earlier owner, you may have to obtain it by paying the dues of the society if any and the transfer charges which cannot be more than 10% of the maintenance charges.
