Sleeping on duty

Dear sir/madam,

Good morning. My friend is working in an PSU (Govt of india undertaking) .His subordinate is not doing any official duty & involving in share trading & sleeping in office hours.

As a wittness or evidence to produce shall i ask my friend to take photos of that not working person while sleeping during office hours & while share trading ?.

My question is ...is it legal to take photos???

Photos or not will depend on the Rules of the PSU.

As for sleeping and engaging in work other than of the Company (share trading etc.) must be a misconduct as per Disciplinary Rules/Standing Orders. In such case your friend need not gather evidence etc. and shall report to his superior auhtority/HR/security& inteligence department of the company.
