Someone damaging bike while parked.what remedies available?

Hello,

I am here to clarify some actions that can be taken against one shopkeeper.

I have a Office in NSC Bose road, but due to lack of parking space, i keep my bike 2 street next to the office.

The street is about 7-10ft in widdth.

Due to no parking space anywhere near my office, i keep it 2 street next to the office.

In the street where i keep my bike, there is a school building outside which i keep my bike.

Opp. to that school is one shop, that shop's keeper is threating everyday to not keep bike there, otherwise he will puncture and my bike wont be there, if i continue keeping it there. He says the space where i keep my bike is to keep his bike and i am not supposed to keep my bike there, infact he did damaged my bike by breaking the indicator and also inserted safety matches wood into the hole of petrol lock where we insert the key. so that keys dont go inside. and so on.. i didnt see him doing all the damages but i presume he did. he says that i should park my bike near the office only and not here because he needs to keep his bike.

Can he claim over that space to keep his bike?

What remedies available to me to stop him from damaging my bike?

I know i can file an FIR against unidentified person, giving that shopkeeper's name as a suspect in that FIR.

but will that solve the issue?

If you have any suggestion then i'd really appreciate it.

Thanks.

you can file FIR but there is no witness. atleast some settlement may be bruoght by police.  You may hve to find some rule to fasten some liability on the shopkeeper to remove his bike for the sake of yours.
