1. In India we do not have any such law for adult age son to act upon. It is termed as 'ineffective'.

2. However for child (either gender) below 15 years it is called as ‘adoption’ provided the child of such age is given up for adoption wherein s/he serves ties with h/er natural parents for all purposes.

There is no such term in law for which you have enquired  the provisions of law. Don't waste your time on such good for nothing issues.
