S. SRINIVASA RAO (Retired)     22 February 2012

Special leave petition in supreme court

My husband, a Sr. Citizen as a Party-in-Person has filed a Petition on 23rd January, 2012 as per the directive given by the Hon.Justice of Court No.21 on 19th Jan. 2012 to file a Petition for Expeditious Hearing of final arguments in his case as he is a heart patient having underwent cardiac surgery already and also due to his failing health condition.   The case was listed at S.No.35 under the "Interlocutory Cases" on 10-02-2012.  When the case came up for hearing, my husband with folded hands has requested the Hon.Justice to kindly give a short date for hearing the final arguments in the case.  However, she has given a very distant date i.e.25th April, 2012.  It is relevant to mention here that the High Court shall observe Summer Vacation w.e.f.28-4-12.  Seven Benches have already handled this case with no progress.

Under the above circumstances, whether he can file a SLP in Supreme Court?  If not, what is the other alternative to speed up the hearing of the case?
