Such a mistake can be rectified within 3 months from the date of receiving such certificate as per Board Orders in your state. First, find out where the mistake has taken place. The proper procedure is you have to file an application and exam fee for a particular examination, the school forwards these bunches to Board, the board basing on such applications prepare hall tickets. The same spelling in the hall ticket is stated in the marks certificate with the photograph duly attested.
According to my knowledge, when there is an attested photograph duly attested in the original certificate, the spelling mistake may not matter. However, if there is no such certificate like in the old SSLC Register, now it is impossible to change the name in such registers.
So first stop worrying about such spelling mistakes, and write to the board online as to what should be done now to correct such mark certificate. For their ready information provide marks sheet/certificate and your AADHAR/TC given by the school. They will inform you laid down procedure if there is such a way.

This rectification must have done within 5 years from the completion of sslc. In order to correct your name spelling in the SSLC mark sheet, you must have to contact to your respective School from where you did your Schooling. Contact to the Principal of the School. Write an application stating your query about your spelling mistake in the mark sheet.

Every name is proper name. And it, invariably, is in vernacular. So where is the question of spelling?
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Advocate) 09 June 2021
If you had passed the SSLC examination long ago, you may not be able to correct the spelling mistake in the SSLC certificate at this stage.
You may prepare an affidavit stating your correct spelling and the one found in the SSLC certificate are one and the same, get it notarised and then issue a public notice in two local newspaper after which you can keep the newspaper cutting as well as the affidavit along with the SSLC certificate so that this can be proved in case of any dispute in this regard in future anywhere.

Whether such wrong name spelling affects you any where ? If so, follow the advise of experts, which I agree.
However, if should not be so glaring mistake that single spelling change in your name shall change worth of your name any where, since your name is a "noun" in English grammar..
