Process (social) flow;

1. Ask her first to ask this gentleman name / address of Police Station under whose Jurisdiction his ordinary residence is.


2. The moment above is asked either this gentleman will vanish from dating scene and or he will provide the correct info to the lady in waiting.


3. If the gentleman vanishes then say loudly god saved the lady from such frauds. And/or if the gentleman provides correct info as asked then all the lady has to do is to send a letter (with her email address / fax no.) to the Jurisdiction Police Station to issue “Character Certificate with marital status” of the gentleman after due verification for marriage purpose. What will come out of the verification is ‘criminal activity” status of this gentleman which even a first semester student knows you will pounce on me - righto.


Now people will say what rubbish ways sometimes I provide remedies here. For which I rebut take a chill – pill readers and ask yourself when police (local area beat constable) arrives at your door steps for character verification donot he asks your marital status as one of his intrusive regular question?  If the gentlemen says 'widower' then next sniffing que. police may ask is to show proof of her death – righto. So once this is made part of verification exercise in the name of “character verification” and police replies to the lady then bingo as we say in church banda sahi tha aur sahi kaha raha tha shaadi kar lete hai aab J

Unlike few European and North American continent in India we don’t have any system in place to seek "marital status verification services authenticated by Central Govt." reason being marital laws are given status of as far as possible in-camera proceedings to protect amachi females and in such forum queries bechara would be male gets suffocated on the run:-)

Does police act on such a letter sent by someone?

That is a very good question.

Let me answer your question in my own ways;

1. Are you aware of the present form of "character certificate" which is done in India? If yes then what I suggested is a extension of the same that we get it done to get Visa for specific countries.


2. Actually it is doable stuff and we have done it but to flush out actual residence address of a wife among blocks of homes in a particular locality in NCR of Delhi just to service Court summons and we framed question to local police in such a way that all working ladies in that areas character as well as complete geographical locations including certified copies of each working ladies Form 16 we discovered which were all true signed / stamped copies their landlors to employers gave as the case was J


3. In this query all the prof. sahib has to do is to talk to one of his friend and ask that friend to do the work for him locally and once "character certificate" received all he has to do is to scan it and send to lady friend for her full satisfaction to go ahead with marriage (i.e. if he has clean antecedents/as the outcome may be!).......
