The case is very important Environmental Judgment of the Supreme Court delivered by Justice J.S.Verma and Justive B.N.Kirpal: I have read that case in BCI workshop in 2000 in Bhubaneswar, and it mainly pertain to Forsest conservation and setting up State Expert Committee, Report on Saw mill and closure of saw mill etc. Sir, will ypu please let me know what is actually happening with that Supreme Court Judgment?

Dear Mr.Assumi

Don't be worried.Nothing wrong is with Supreme Court judgment.

Actually Supreme Court's concern about the matters mentioned above is remarkable.Moreover related matters

have also been taken up and are being under consideration in high spirits.

So far as implementation it all depends upon various state governments and the central govt as well.

The latest judgment was regarding "Asiatic Wild Buffalo" delivered on 13.02.2012.

Some IAs are in the process and listed for 02.07.2012.

Matters regarding Iron Ore Mining and quarrying were also taken up in the judgments delivered.

            Application for impleadment is allowed.

      Learned senior counsel appearing for the applicant has brought to our
notice a letter dated 9th August, 2010 written by the Chief Wildlife
Warden, Orissa requesting the Principal Secretary, Forest & Environment
Department, Bhubaneswar to not sanction permission to M/S Tata Refractories
Ltd., for carrying out mining activities covering 58.50 hectares of forest
area within Chandaka Wildlife Division in Cuttuck District. He submits that
the said letter is still pending for consideration of the Government for
the last about two years.
       Learned senior counsel has further submitted that the   mining
operations of the applicant remained suspended since February, 2010, even
though requisite deposits have already been made. He further submits that
the State Government is neither deciding the representations of the
applicant, nor sending its views to the M.O.E.F. and not permitting the
applicant to resume mining operations.
      Having regard to the submissions made by learned senior counsel, we
direct respondent Nos. 2 & 3 to consider the request of the applicant as
expeditiously as possible and dispose of the same within a period of two
months from the date of receipt of this order.
      The Registry is directed to transmit a copy of this order to
respondent Nos. 2 & 3.
      I.A. No. 3307 is disposed of accordingly.
