Stop misusing..

Hello Sir,

At the time of my marriage my father in law have given the land as dowry(means by themselves they have given to my wife)..

So before marriage they registered the land in my wife name and they showed at my marriage function that they have given the land to my wife..And they also signed in the simple note book that they have given as a seedhanam to my wife. And the original stamp paper is still with my father in law. Now after 1 year they want to sell the land and make money. Now my wife is with her parents because she is waiting for delivery period.
They already informed me that they are going to sell. I refused to sell it & also suggested my wife as a guardian should not sell that keep it in her name and dont sign in any paper.

But they can easily convenience  my wife and make her signature and sell it easily.
Is there any way for me as an husband or guardian to my wife to stop the selling of land and keep the asset on my wife name only for life long?

Please let me know your advise asap.

Dont try stopping them as this might create a rift between you and your wifes married life and lead to bigger problems. The ownership lies with your wife so she can sell it anyway.

Sir,

my fatherinlaw will easily sell it by making her convenienced and take entire money with them..Even the land is bought by his own earnings ..he shouldnot do this after marriage..that also they did publicity that they gave land..at the time of my marriage..

now they are trying this silly thing..and unnecessarily making trouble..

Atleast i can register some notice as a guardian or husband in local pattra office..so that other people will get hesitate to buy..

So please let me know ur advise sir..to secure this asset on her name only..for life long..

Mr. Satya as you said you have not demanded the dowery, you have no right on wife's assets, if you go legal way you be behind the bars, secondly even if you yourself purchase the land in name of your wife she becomes absolute woner of the property.she can dispose it by anyway.

Since it is got registered in your wife name, she is the absolute owner, no one has the right to stop her to sell if she want to sell.
