My wife was mentally ill before marriage, a fact that her parents had hidden from us. After realizing that, I and my family made the mistake of helping my wife, but she kept getting violent and attacked me, my old parents and my new-born daughter thrice in a span of 2 years. Finally, my wife willfully deserted me, my family and my 1 year old daughter (now 4 years old) more than 3 years back. She is now staying with her family in Jammu. We have not maintained any active communication in last 3 years and she had only threatened me to take actions if i do not pay her 10 lacs of alimony for divorce, which I denied on the grounds of deception and mental and physical brutality on my family by her. I am currently staying with my family in Chandigarh.
She has now sent a court summon (from Jammu court) to my office under DV act.
Please advise a suitable action.
