Supernumerary post & the benefits

Querry on Supernumerary Post & the Benefits

1) One Officer who was earlier Junior to me became Senior over me Due to my Resignation & again Reinduction after 10 months in the same Finance Cadre as per reinduction terms during 2001.

2) During 2011, I was Manager & the Other was AGM. The Basic Pay of myself is lesser by Rs.2000/- due to Loss of Increments in-between the Resignation & Reinduction period as well as promotion taken by him in-between.

3) In order to give relief to me,Our Company Board of Directors give me Supernumerary Promotion during Mar-2011 from Manager to AGM with placement benefit prospectively from my date of joining without any peciniary benefits upto the date of Joining. I was now at par to that other Officer & all future promotion of me will happen as & when he gets it.

4) I joined on 15-Mar-2011 as AGM on the Supernumerary Promotion, but the company . . . . . . Branch is laterly not lisenting to  extend any financial benefit / parity in Basic Pay Prospectively w.e.f 15-Mar-2011 as per the terms.

Pl. Suggest what is Correct Legally.
